What a difference a year makes...

forget last game we played against them, forget our season record - we need to turn up and player very very well to beat port - we play like we did against collingwood and we will be beaten..no more jokes its time for these boys to get the job done - port are a good team and now full of confidence, Make no mistake this isnt going to be a shoe in we will need to earn this one

I'm just a little worried. We would want to play a lot better than last night. Port looked awesome today. I still think that we can win, but the following things worry me:-

Port has nine players who have played in a Grand Final, we have one (Mooney).

We got a couple of injuries, Port got none (other than Wilson).

We have lost Grand Finals recently, so are we jinxed, or is it our time?

Port beat us in Round 21, playing a similar game to how Collingwood played us last night. Could we take two games like that in a row ?

If the GF is close, Port win close games, whereas , aside from last night, Geelong generally have a poor record in close games.

We just won, meaning that we may get two tough, hard games in a row, whereas Port are coming off a training run, where they haven't been hit as hard. Which is better?

We have been consistent all year, whereas Port have momentum. I remember though, in 1992, we had played well all year, and lost the Grand Final to West Coast, who were on a good run at the time. I hope it doesn't happen again.

People, give me some hope. I haven't given up, but I am a little nervous. We played poorly last night. I just don't want a sense of deja vu. Please ease my mind, and help me to enjoy this week, rather than be stressed about our chances.

sorry cant help you cause i feel the momentum has changed to port. Our display on friday has left a bad feeling and its not easy to just change it around. Port are now full of confidence and many tipsters who where calling it over a few weeks ago are now leaning towards port.....We are going to have to play very very well to get this flag.

Port dominated and controled that game today - i now feel we need to stop them playing their game rather than the other way around.

Their coach is a poor man’s Mark Williams. He tried to come across as this hard and rugged leader of a club thats tough and hard club but only comes across as a angry little man with small man syndrome.

Luke Hodge, who is just a glorified Joel Bowden. Joel Bowden copes it as getting cheapies down back but Hodge does the same goddamn thing! He can’t man up, he is a guy who isn’t good enough to go into the midfield and go head to head with the real superstars so they put him on half back so he can look good back there. He takes one knock and his a hero. Him playing on shows his got no brain, carrying an injury will cost him and the team, you can’t carry in an injured player into a grand final, let alone a passenger with an injury.

Their backline is weak. They have one key backman who believes that his magic kiwi blood will cure him of a broken foot. What next, his kiwi blood will help him fly? Proof that the only thing kiwi’s can do right is sheep.

If they win it will abdication that tanking is the way to go for every club from now on. They realised that they were rubbish and instead of playing on like men they were the first team to take the easy way out and cheat to secure the better young players.

Was almost inconsolable when they interviewed him on the ground after beating the Saints, he has been waiting for goodness knows how many years to finaly play off in a GF but his underachieving metro sexual club had let him down time and time again and the disapointment of all those years of failure got too much for him.

I can only imagine what the poor little **** will be like after the game when he finaly realises that he will never wear a premiership medallion around his waxed neck.
