1st Week -
Raines goes down injured.
I then trade him early in the week for Hurley.
Hurley pulls a hammy a training.
I've since swapped Hurley with Rance who i had as emergency.
1 quarter in, Rance looks totally overwhelmed by Geelongs pressure, i hope he can get it together.

- I also trade Tippet due to a terrible Round 1 performance against a leaky Essendon defence
This allows me to upgrade to Ottens.
Tippet goes on to have a blinder last night against St.Kilda scoring 93 points.
Ottens goes down injured in the 1st quarter today.

-Hentschel gets injured as well and only scores 15 points

So going into round 3 at this stage, bearing in mind there is still 7 games to be completed, I have 3 injured players in my team

Bad trade for Hurley so early in the week.
Myself on the other hand. No Raines, no Ottens, no Anthony, no Hurley, no Hentschall, no Thomas or Tambling. ahhhhhhhh :D Have T Tuck, but I'll take that :)
 
I had Raines, pulled him out for Cheney - flash in the pan maybe.
Pulled out Thursfield, put in Ryder, not sure yet, but everything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Wanted to pull out Nathan G Brown, but looks like he's gathering the ball in the backlines, Houli might be the one to trade.

iv got raines, anthony and tuck injured but tuck will be back next week hopefully. also have houli as he was not a common pick, now has been dropped, fantastic! oh well, at least i went HMAC over ottens
 
I bought up on Cheney and wasn't as good as last week, but still worth 50 points.

The Houli thing is , I'd wait til this week, If he scores less than 90 I'd drop him at $482k, and bring in Nathan Krakeur. Save some cash, Get the same result. Or look at bringing in the biggest $ gainer if I can work out how this system works.

Houli is a back and Krakeur is a forward though! :confused:
 
There has been a few injuries so far. I'm still holding Cousins on the bench. CAn't see any point in trading him at the moment since my bench players are Rich/Robinson who can cover easily until I decide what to do with Cousins.

Other than that touch wood no other injury concerns so far.

Right!

I took risks last year to the end of the season and it paid off well.

My strategy is to use up 6 trades in 3 weeks, get the team I'm looking for with quality emergencies. Then only trade when I need to and make 6 changes after round 20 to fill the team. Last year I converted all of my worst scoring players 2 weeks from the end. Wouldn't have won my leagues had I not made that call.

I could go about this two ways:
1) be sympathetic
2) laugh

I'm not one to sympathize.. Ahahahahahah!

Ahh, the old call against the team I support. Why bring them into this? :rolleyes:

The fact that you made a trade early in the week means that you deserve to be laughed at.
