Best part for me was the contest between Frost and Daniher, Frost spoils it falls to the ground, Daniher gets the ball just about to handball it to the running player and Frost lunges towards Daniher and gets him in a tackle

I'll be honest, I was concerned at quarter time. I had that feeling before the game that Essendon were going to be on and alas, they were. However, what unfolded was some of the best footy I have seen in a long time, not just from the Pies, but also from the Bombers.

Focusing on us though, I was so proud of the way we fought back. We literally 'grabbed' the game from Essendon's hands in the second quarter and held on so tightly (defensively). This is where we won the game; through excellent implementation of our defensive offense (if that makes sense).

I bloody love our boys. I am super excited for our future.

You were depleted but it didn't matter.. anyone could see that you brought your A game despite missing players. That was a fantastic brutal hard intense game of AFL footy played like a final and we overcame a 6 goal deficit to win by 4. We got our own injury outs too you know!!

I'm loving the fact that we haven't debuted our 2 top 10 picks and are missing some key personnel yet are still able to play at the level we did today.
Buckley seems to be really grasping the role of coach now and has been great this year.
We aren't quite producing consistently enough but the brilliance is there and with each game we seem to be more and more able to produce it when it's needed.
If we can get a good run with injury and Cloke hits some reliable form we'll be a legitimate flag threat.
