All the talk has been about "Leaping" Lindsay Smith, but I have been impressed with some of Spaull's games in the magoos.
He has been a ball magnet off half back, and is the athletic type that we seem to lack in the seniors.

It has become very obvious that the opposition is exploiting the likes of Makepeace and Pickett by using their opponent as a marking option, virtually forcing makey and choppy to play as fullbacks.

Perhaps Spaull is a better option in the back line rather than a traditional small back pocket.

Give Spaull a go I say!

Seems the perfect option for mid-sized marking players, such as Aaron Hamill this week. In teh following weeks he could be handy against John Barker/Ben Dixon, Brett Montgomery, and Brad Green/Cameron Bruce.

I too have been impressed with Spaull and he may just get his chance this week with The Skull unfortunately out for 6 weeks!

If he is a long term injury, maybe Leigh Harding might get promoted to the senior list. We need a small crumbing forward who can kick goals.

I can't believe Digby was promoted before him, seeing we have plenty of similar type players to Digby.
