I'm not really into nightclubs. Give me a pub anyday. I live in Richmond, so I go to the Swan and the GB. Always the London before the G, and Barassi's on the way home.

My fave pub in Brissie is the Regatta in Toowong. I can't really explain why, it just is.

My fave in Melbourne was the Clyde, right near Melbourne Uni. Used to lunch there quite often, got drunk there very often, and was quite a happy hunting ground for me girl-wise as well! Not the best looking pub in the world, but for sentimental reasons it gets my vote.

For watching the footy Greenwood Tavern is the best.
Listening to music, drinking in a good atmosphere Paddington Alehouse.
When you feel like slumming it Odin Tavern.

I used to frequent the Central Club in Richmond, before it was changed around, and also made a number of visits to the Rising Sun.

Went to Finbars in Brighton last night, that wasn't bad.

Remember i come from Cranny and down here theres nothing except a local milkbar which u will usually find everyone in cranny drinking outside.

I dont go to pubs unless im with dad or my sister or someone like that but i would have to say that my fave is The cricketers arms because they have a security fella there who looks a spittin image of Anthony Rocca.

The Richmond Club was the best pub in Melbourne until they 'fixed' it. The Prince Of Wales in St. Kilda holds a lot of happy memories as did the Seaview Ballroom and the Venue (although they werent strictly pubs)
There was a place in North Melbourne called Users Club-the main band would go on at about 5am and finish just as the sun was coming up.

Drinkin' in Fitzroy we have, The Lord Newry (my personal favorite, please come back Edele, i miss you) , The Rose (great tucker), The Napier, and The Tramway. The Punters Club's always good for a laugh.

Haven't been to The Great Britian (Richmond) for a few years now, but it used to be a great live venue. Saw some great local blues bands down there about 10-12 years ago. Anyone remember Rocket 88 or Tin Pan Alley?

where's wally?

in richmond where i live - swan, spread eagle, GB

other in melbourne builders arms and napier (fitzroy)

aberdeen, obh and steves in perth - assuming they are still as i remember them

Agree with many listed above, especially the Punters and the Builders Arms.

But when I'm in Richmond visiting friends, we like to drop into the All Nations for a quick drink. Or two. The Charles Dickens in the city is also good, especially when the soccer is on and you get to watch and hear all the English ex-pats sings songs to each other.

Richmond Club Hotel for after Demons games, before we used to go the the MCG Hotel...don't know what that's like now.

The Werribee Tavern Hotel because they often show live Storm games when they play away.......where we meet with lots of Storm supporters....great day/night.

welll in my direct vicinty there is only one pub, The Aldgate Pump hotel (my second home as a kid) and that is down the bottom of the hill (it's ok to go to, but its a bitch to get back afterwards) in the city there is the Oxford in North Adelaide, and The Strathmore.

When im in melbourne i go to the Crockford Bay in Port Melbourne. great food, great beer and fantastic atmosphere. they used to have live bands every friday and saturday nights but i dont think they do anymore. and there is a pub in richmond i like but i cant remember the name????
