The A.F.L and their two faced statements about local football, they preach about Local Fotball like it's a part of the mantra and then they plan to show live A.F.L football on Saturday Afternoons in 2002.

And secondly, the bloody bullsh*t under 18's competition which is just there so the scouts don't have to go very far to look for talent, even though those kids could be playing REAL FOOTY in the first Division of the E.F.L, the S.F.L, the Diamond Valley and other strong metropolitan and regional leagues, if you don't believe me, look at where Gary Ablett was recruited, Myrtleford in the Ovens and Murray League and Guy Rigoni who was passed over in the under 18's until Melbourne picked him up from Mrytleford.

And lastly, the rule that says that players who have nominated for the draft have to currently play for their state league and under 18's competition, which is crap because I know of a few players like Anthony Mellington for Shepparton in the G.V.F.L and Jason Heatley for North Heidelburg in the D.V.F.L, who could be good players again if given half the chance.

Well, i've vented my spleen about the evil empire that is the A.F.L, but they have made their own bed, and now they've got to lie in it and i'm sad that Wayne Jackson didn't break his neck instead.

Gee I touched a button there. I must say I always thought Anthony Mellington was a good player who was unfairly treated by Pagan, in that he never gave him enough ground time to show what he could do. I agree with your comments generally too.

It's a shame we couldn't give preference votes on this one!!!

1. Conflict on interest in the AFL - Maximising attendances was their mission statement in the annual report, yet they refuse to move games from Colonial

2. The umpiring - Been pathetic all year and their sooking about players running for the ball touching them, give me a break.

3. Colonial - Hate the place, always have, always will

4. Closing Waverley - Prefer to go to MCG for Hawks games, as it's easier for me, but it hurt the club, and will cost the league thousands of supporters in the eastern suburbs in the future.

The rest are all important too, but the AFL Commission p!ss me off the most.
