Right that's it, will be installing Rage 2 tonight, loved it but for some reason forgot about it. ****ing awesome game.

TDA is still great, I just unfairly measure it against Eternal. Eternal is probably the best FPS I played. I am no awesome gamer. Most on here would kick my ass at most games but I clocked Eternal on nightmare and its my proudest gaming achievement so now I'm doing TDA I'm finding it a bit easy and daresay boring. Dont like the flying dragon missions and really dont like the Atlan missions. You seem to get so many weapons and upgrades nearly that for me its just well a bit bland now.

TW Rome 2 with Divide et Impera mod. OMG why did I never try this before. It's like a new game and how the game should be.

I'm constantly restarting because this is so hard but so awesome. Strongly recommend to anyone who hasn't picked up a historical TW game in a while (or haven't played this mod in longer as it's up to 1.3.4 now). Extra recommendation for history enthusiasts because the overhauls from units to reforms and even names and the timing of events is so much more authentic. I saw there are some sub-mods for Divide et Impera like one that emulates the real historical timeline but I'm not ready for that yet. Pyrrhus is still kicking my arse.

I've actually been watching this guy for a bit of inspiration. This is a Let's Play of an older version of the mod but this guy has gone on to work with the DEI mod team but if anyone is interested in the level of immersion this mod adds then have a flick through the first video in the series. He goes to the extent of forming realistic legions and even renames legions and characters to Legate or Lictor according to how he'll use them to enhance the roleplay. He's using a few extra mods but it's still a good demonstration of the level of overhaul that the DEI mod provides. I love how how actually uses the Triplex Acies formation which isn't really needed in the vanilla game despite being integral how the real historical legions arranged themselves. In a following video when he's up to the Punic wars the way he draws out the Carthaginian elephants and crushes them with the Triplex Acies is actually brilliant.

Mafia 3.

The story would be a lot more enjoyable if the developer didn’t crap out hours upon hours of copy and paste rackets. The game would definitely work better if it wasn’t open world and kept the same formula as the other ones.

Will probably be picking it up again to finish it but one of the reasons I stopped playing it was that the gameplay felt very repetitive.

I played the mafia remaster on gamepass
Had never played any of them before and it was nice to have a story driven game in a world rather than a giant open world game with a few story missions

Found a reddit post asking for some hidden gems on PS Plus and thought I'd give a couple of them a shot

Killer Frequency - a show where you play as a radio host and try and save a bunch of people from a serial killer. Very cool so far.

The Forgotten City - apparently a Skyrim mod? I beat it in about 2 hours but there's so much more for me to go back and do. Fun concept.

I played forgotten City over a day or two a couple of years ago

Great game made by a team in Melbourne

Started off as a skyrim mod before becoming the version released as a stand alone game

Nearly finished FC 4 and Sleeping Dogs (Definitive Edition). Absolutely flying through Sleeping Dogs, holds up surprisingly well for a 10 year odd old game. Having an absolute blast playing it, a new age sequel would be most appreciated.

FC 4, as I slowly knock off every FC I forgot how good this is. Now its been graphically redone it looks gorgeous and the gameplay is as fun as ever. Pagan Min is a great villain, just not seeing enough of him.

Once these are done along with The Witcher 3 (yes still going) and I get up the energy to try and knock off Doom TDA I'm combing over my backlog to see what is next. Looking at:

Metro Exodus
Metal Gear 5
CyberPunk
FC 5

Lincoln Clay is a bad mother****er though

Finished the story. As I said the other day, too much racket repetition. But the story was really interesting and after that final cutscene
now convinced that was Joe Barbaro
, there needs to be a Mafia 4 which follows that story.

Ok, bit the bullet and am going through Death Stranding DC after hearing great things about DS2.

Almost through Chapter 3, bit of a slog, bit repetitive.

But wow, the little notifications that tell you someone has used your bridge give you the warm and fuzzies lol.

Glad i listened to a podcast which basically said skip all the non-Sam related deliveries as it doesn't really give you anything.

Waiting for it to go full Kojima.

its starts off very slow, but building story.
cant remember chapters but once you move from the 1st map to the large 2nd map the game really opens up and gets good. Once it hooks you, thats it!

I don't know how any game where everyone says "yeah just wade through the hours of bullshit at the start then it gets good" can be considered a good game.

its not so much bullshit as it is setting up/explaining the world. It mainly done thru cut scenes which is what upset some people. I always look at Kojima games as your playing a movie.

Grabbed Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition during the Steam Christmas Sale, have yet to play it but keen.

Playing Doom Dark Ages. Unsure what to think of it just yet. Just finished the first mech level.
