Argentinian punk rock
The 90's Bloodloss again, with Frank's Wig.
The official version goes that this song is about Frank Sinatra's wig. But many Adelaide people believe it's actually about Frank, the owner of Custom Music on Henley Beach Road, a practice space and hire place. Frank wore a very obvious wig, and everyone in Adelaide who played in a band had some contact with Frank and his toupe at some point
Blue haired boy
Nelson´s wedgie toy
Luann´s shining star
My dad sleeps in a race car
Child-star
Sidekick typecast
Milhouse, Millpool, Thrillho
My mum says I´m cool
Nobody knows what it like to be me
When your mother and father can´t draw dignity
My best friend sis´
I want to Kiss her saxy lips
And he´s sh*t out of luck
His soul, I bougth for 5 bucks
Child-star
Sidekick typecast
Milhouse, Millpool, Thrillho
My mum says I´m cool
Nobody knows what it like to be me
When your mother and father can´t draw dignity
Kirk couldn´t borrow a feeling for free
So nothing is ever, no never… coming up “me”
I like this re-imagining of Milhouse as a brooding, vaguely-Byronic antihero, and how the lyrics are about his personal demons and his inability to connect with the rest of humanity. Each line is a reference to a specific moment from the show, but the way they're presented here makes his struggles the perfect subject for a doom metal song. I imagine this song as being his impassioned declaration of spite against the world for keeping him down (in a similar vein to "We Hate You" or "Dunwich" by Electric Wizard).
Call me corny, idgaf, but I've legit been pumping this classic anthem after Port wins lately, f@%k yeahhhhhhhh...
