I think this was the very first song I ever discussed with someone else. I remember it very clearly at morning assembly in Grade 5.
It supplanted Acker Bilk in the charts. You can hear the shift in the music tastes of that time. My father loved this song, it was one of the very few records he ever bought. Happy thoughts many years later listening to this.
