Eva Cassidy, found fame only a couple of years before her death from melanoma at 33. Most of her shows were in small clubs to dedicated audiences,
One of, and perhaps even the greatest female voice of her time. She mostly concentrated on covers, choosing great songs, sung with great expression, emotion and feeling.

Agree - only discovered her a few years back. Awesome voice.

Her versions of Sting's "Fields of Gold" & Simon & Garfunkel's "Kathy's Song" are breathtakingly good.

These three ladies (Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker) the Spotify discovery of the "stay at home" era for me. Worth checking out their solo stuff - all three brilliant...This is them all together as "boybgenius"
If you like them you will probably like this.
I had never heard of Emorie before visiting my rellies up the bush this weekend.
This is a lovely song, very sparse instruments and a beautiful voice.
