Honestly, I am going through an 70's-80's punk phase. I originally took up guitar, hoping to start a punk, or surf/skate rock type of band. Then a complicated hand injury saw me unable to play for a few years. Recently getting back into it, but basically starting over again and lost a lot of skill. However, I have discovered a few lesser known punk bands that have just good sounding bass players, thus I have added learning bass to my plans. Hoping to fast track some learning and release a couple of covers come the end of summer.

Death Chuch - Rudimentary Peni is a pretty good punk album, and my main current go to. Nick Blinko the lead singer, and main song writer has a pretty interesting mind, when it comes to lyrics, which are often dark, as well as art work and a book release. Really like the bass work as well.

After a Guardian article today about Deep Purple, I dragged out their Made in Japan album. It has just been remastered for a 50th anniversary release.
Deep Purple released many studio albums over the years, but they were always considered to best playing live.
The Made in Japan album showcases their skills, talent, background, and innovation.
Considering this was recorded in 1972, it is a masterpiece and deserves its standing as one of the best live albums ever.

Happy 50th anniversary to Wish You Were Here, not only is it my favourite from album by Pink Floyd but could be possibly be my favourite album of all time.

Brill music in itself but the way it all flows and blends is magic
