My personal secret shame heresy is I don’t reckon Hoodoo Gurus are much chop live, and I love them on record.

Have seen the gurus a bunch of times from James Baker days in 80s until the 2010s.

Can't say I've ever seen them put in a bad one.

They mellowed over time but still delivered. They were pretty awesome in the early days.

According to entertainment reporter Craig Bennett, London-born Lancaster "passed away this morning at his Sydney home, surrounded by family", having lived with Multiple Sclerosis for many years.

Do yourself a favour. The above clip will probably change your perception of Sweet if you've not listened to any of their albums. This is not lollypop music. It's also a pretty clean recording for 1974.
