I noticed amd released a new cpu recently. I'm looking to spend about 700-1000 for a cpu. What would you buy?

Still waiting for confirmation on local pricing for Zen2 but for that budget you could go all the way up to the 3900x, though you could save a penny and look at the 3700x which will be considerably cheaper and so far looking to be the best bang for buck. Of course it all depends on what you will be using it for.
