1: Perth in a slog + 6 day break=71 point win. I've heard so many excuses from Vic teams whining about impact of WA trip. We don't do excuses. Love this team.
2: I'm going to seriously miss Mal if we can't keep him.
3: Our new young crew holding up really well & doing the Bloods proud. Remember all that talk about our ageing list?

I'd be more worried about Mal leaving if he couldn't get a game. But he's a general for us and playing every week.

He could be a Sydney player for life if he wants it. Something tells me maybe he does.

1. 30 minutes of football played... Should be fresh as for the Arrogant Dawks.

2. Still got Hanners Tipo and Shaw to come back with LRT OKeefe and Mitchell in reserve.

3. Need a lift from Jetta... If he can capture that 2012 form it will be insane.
3A. I hope we play 4 quarters next game against those muppets.

1. Carlton may be arrogant, but they are pathetic at the same time.
2. Sydney still have to balance the remaining matches with injuries, form & team balance the key.
3. We are scary when compared to the other teams as we still have good players to return & multiple avenues to shut teams down, kick goals & even run through the midfield to rest stars.

1. Lucky didn't throw my shoe to the TV before half time break.
2. Reid played very well. It is the best of his 68 games. Even better than his 6 goals against Lions.
3. Kennedy is our best mid.
4. Pyke can do the ruck.
5. Rohan is getting better
6. Buddy is awesome. Oh Yes!

3. Buddy is white hot... no one else can turn it on like him. I still laugh at the thought that some of our own were questioning the decision to go after him.

To be fair most were/are concerned at the length of contract not the quality of the player. He hasn't even played one year yet.
Im loving it though Im in awe at some of the things he does.

Jetta was quiet in the second half. His knee was wrapped seen from Kennedy interview. Hope he is ok.

Ramp was not happy after sub out. He was unusually quiet during the night. Is his fault to expose Richards and Grundy on so many one on one in the first half?

Towers is not impressed. Give him some time. He will be better.

Yes. According to BF wisdom In 8 years we'll all be eating our words. :p

Ability of our of our Rookies to play roles at the elite level says to me maybe not so much.

Just a word on Towers. Some nerves there. Never got loose. But some tricks in his bag. Can run. Can mark. Can tackle. Can shephard.

Maybe not 2014. But can play.

1. Goodes can still kick it further than 45 metres (Honestly thought he was going to pass that shot off).

2. Buddy looks like an overgrown teenager without the beard (Obviously made him a little more aerodynamic with that performance though)

3. Reid may still be the best mark on our list (Yes this includes Tippet)

Didn't really learn anything from JPK's performance, he does it every single week.

1. I didn't learn this last night but Reid is an absolute gun, so versatile and works harder than most big men in the comp. Is becoming like Roughhead can play anywhere, but has a longer reach then him. He is only 22!!! His mark confidence is coming back which is scary for everyone else in the comp. Noticed Carlton players were grabbing him to try and stop his leap.

2. We have another gear we can go to that may well be unmatched this year.

3. Love the way Lloyd goes about it, so hard at it and runs both ways. Will be another midfield gun.

4. Rohan looked better behind the ball but needs to offer himself running off using his pace more regularly. Can become a serious weapon.

Pyke was also very good, getting back to full fitness.

Lastly I was really happy to get to this game! I have missed a heap of games this year both on TV and at the ground because of my junior coaching (u17) commitments. Our Friday night games have even coincided with the Swans (GWS conspiracy?? My team is in the gws comp and the Friday night games have been at BISP) as well as the Thursday night training and all Sunday games. Really enjoyed it!

1. I think we've found Gary Rohans's best position at half back, he did some really good things

2. Dean Towers, if he'd converted that shot from Buddy's handball I'd feel better about his game. But it's back to the 2s against the Hawks

3. Sam Reid has grown an arm and a leg, and he kicks straight these days

1. McVeigh making a statement with the mismatched shoes.

2. We either have a lot of really good half-back flankers or it is a really easy position to play in the Swans system.

3. Towers did not look quite ready for senior football.

All spot on.

In a first half that resembled a dog's breakfast he never had a lot of luck. When he did get into a bit of space the disposal he was on the end of was ordinary to say the least. Contested football is not going to be his strong suit as he will do his best work as an outside finisher. Bloke can't have his papers stamped after one game. Let's see him play in a game where we are on top of our game and playing at our best levels and see what he offers. Let's be honest apart from a very good third qtr we were not that tidy.

Not really learned but reinforced.

1. Goal kicking is still the one thing (besides an bad injury run) that could be our undoing. Never thought I'd say it but Reid may be our most assured in front of the big sticks atm, been kicking them quite well all year. Hopefully he can keep taking marks up forward and kicking straight when/if Tippett comes back, try stopping that forward line for 4 quarters!

2. Rohan looked quite good, made a few mistakes, but looked better down back than any game he's played forward (post broken leg, anyway)..got much more involved. Might be his go from here on in, if he stays in the side, hopefully he gets an extended run in the backline to see if he can lock down a spot.

3. Pyke is starting to hit some form, certainly his best little patch this season. Hopefully he stays fit and can keep it up, as it completely negates what is probably seen as our main 'weakness' atm. Ruckmen always seem to become that little bit more important in September for some reason.

.
His best quarter was the third but saying that so was everyone's he managed 5 tackles and I even noticed him hitting packs winning his own ball his best is yet to come. Good to see him use his opposite foot for the first time this year he is lethal with it I wanna see more but I guess he usually finds enough space to not need it. That leaves Shaw as the only player on our list to not have used his opposite foot all year..

Probably ever but I don't know where to find that stat lol

Didn't learn all that much as it was 1st v 14th on the ladder, but reinforced what we already knew, namely, that after a dozen wins in a row we are on top of the ladder for a reason and will be hard to beat in September. Here goes, anyway:

1. Ted would have to be on track to win his second "Golden Fist" to accompany the award he won in 2012. He didn't have as much to do in the second half as the midfield got on top, but he was excellent again in the first half and was a big reason why we were still in front at half time despite not playing well.

2. The sense of anticipation in the crowd when Buddy gets the ball within scoring distance now is something I haven't seen or heard at the SCG before for any other player. Had a quiet first half as a result of poor delivery from the midfield, but as soon as the supply to him improved, BANG!

3. Sam Reid's confidence is officially back, 4 goals will be a nice reward for some good recent form.

1. Sam Reid continues to grow in confidence. Goal kicking is more assured than in previous years.

2. Carlton have only won 5 games for a reason. They did make good witches hats in the third quarter. Nice win for the Swans but we were playing an ordinary football team.

3. Towers needs more time but has potential.

1. I don't need to be worried about Gary
2. I like seeing Buddy kick 6
3. Towers was anxious so was hard to judge, he did a few things off ball that looked Ok
