Meh, for all the Port rising star nominations all I see are Porps, Knighta, Bernie, Griff, VB and Dougie dancing around them as if they're nothing more than witches hats. And our guys aren't rising stars either. They're just ****ing guns. Outsiders can say what they want.

... Also this award always looks to nominate blokes who were top 10 draft picks ahead of blokes picked up later in the draft ...

Low picks are:
1. Usually decent players, and
2. They go to lowly teams that need to play them early.
Put the two together and they will make up the bulk of the nominations.

Last year we got a few nominations for players picked up later in the draft. Some much much later in the draft.
