harris says give watson another test.....as when things are down he always comes back and performs. also he watched watson in the nets and did well.

ryan. now you are a legend and popular with everyone. however, you are still one of the boys and unfortunately have an innate bias.

Watson doesn't have fields set for him in the nets. Like Cummins doesn't have the pressure of match bowling under his belt at all. I feel like kites are flying all around this Aussie team just about now.

So Geoff Marsh was just spotted leaving Perth on a London-bound flight (source: Tim Gossage's twitter). Doesn't look good for Robot.
Sounds good to me.

He wouldn't be up to facing the new ball any more, but I am sure Geoff would slot nicely in at 6 in the current lineup.

Rumour

Strong rumour Mitch marsh will play

Why ....Geoff marsh is flying to see the game. Me thinks he's been told Mitch is playing

I can't think why he would fly if he didn't know something

Marsh has done fairly well in recent opportunities. You would think that Marsh has a lot of cricket ahead of him where Watson has very little. Same with Haddin. A lot of cricketers tend to go on too long and that's fine when there is no one putting their hands up like we had a few years ago when there was very little cricket talent in Australia. In fact there are a number of good all rounders around who are going ok, it's not just Marsh but Henriques, Faulkner, Christian and Zampa who has All rounder potential are all going alright. Marsh is probably the standout, seems to bowl nice lines, is tall, can swing and seam it a little and his batting has really come on.

Well, if there is an enforced change with Haddin, they probably won't want to make another even if they were going to before this latest event.

I would make the change anyway, but watch them keep the ever useless Watson. If he isn't bowling much he is a terrible selection.

I don't see how we can fit Mitch Marsh into this side then either.

I don't view him as good enough to hold down a top 6 batting position.
Whether he is or not, he's being selected on that basis. He didn't get a look in for the Test team until he started scoring regular 50s and 100s batting top 6 in the Shield last season.

Until Faulkner does that (which is probably never), he will be McDonald MkII. Bit of a shame, but that's generally how it goes with bowling allrounders.

I love Watson however if he isn't scoring runs, he needs to be bowling into the double-digits per innings and he is not doing that either...

Fook....

I hope you're taking the piss with those suggestions, only Faulkner out of that group are at test standard and the rest are nowhere near it.

Reports out of the UK is that Hadin has personal problems ....they didn't specify what that was about in the article I read

Based on that and his bernal keeping play ...give him a rest ....I think the enthusiasm you'd get by bringing in two new players like Neville and marsh would be be great

New players bring in enthusiasm and that rubs off
