theres a bit of controversy in the local league here concerning an under 18s grand final played the weekend before the afl grand final.
the grand final resulted in a draw but it was discovered that team A ended up having the full 18 on the feild after they had a player sent off with a red card in the third quarter........for those who dont know the red card here means that the team has to play one player short for the rest of the match.
it has now gone to the VCFL to decide what should happen to the result.
should team B who werent at fault win?
or should the game be replayed?

It depends on the leagues rules. Do they stipulate that a team with too many players loses it's score? If so then the other team should be awarded a win. If not, replay the game.

The rules generally state that if a team is found to have an illegal number of players on the field, their score is wiped up to that point ...

So that should answer the question...
