And seriously, Collingwood don't exactly have a great record in regard to offering anything more than useless hacks for trade.
People base this opinion off what it was reported that we were offering for Nick Stevens, I guess. We weren't that desperate to pick him up at the time, and so we weren't willing to trade one of our most talented young players at the time. FWIW, I still wouldn't trade Didak for Stevens, let alone Didak + a First round pick, which is what they were asking for. Didak is capable of winning a game off his own boot, and did so more than once this year.
We also didn't have a great track record for drafting talented players until last year.
Our front office is being entirely turned over because the one move we made last year was getting a new recruiting officer, purely by luck, as our old one got really sick a couple of months before the draft, and it paid huge dividends. It was the only thing that was done right in the last 12 months, so I would say you'll see a much less conservative approach from Collingwood in the offseason.
