Given that he signed up a trade will have to be made for him as you wont let him go for free in the preseason draft. anything that interest u at the pies! Our dealings with you have been very rewarding, it must pain you to have let go of Clement (best defender in the league).

There would be little if any chance he would want to be part of probably the worst list in the AFL, that aside your bonehead coach has absolutely no idea of what constitutes a reasonable trade and never has. It wouldn't surprise me if he offered someone like Tristan Walker as a possible swap for Polak.

A little bit, but we did get a bloke called Bell as part of that trade. You might have heard of him.

And i'd be surprised if he ended up at Collingwood. As silly as our coach is, I doubt he'd accept the inevitable pathetic offer from Collingwood. No, we don't want Jason Cloke or Brayden Shaw.

Jesus, you Fremantle fans are hostile...
Did you watch the 2nd half last Saturday night? You'd be f*$%ing hostile too after that.....

And seriously, Collingwood don't exactly have a great record in regard to offering anything more than useless hacks for trade.

People base this opinion off what it was reported that we were offering for Nick Stevens, I guess. We weren't that desperate to pick him up at the time, and so we weren't willing to trade one of our most talented young players at the time. FWIW, I still wouldn't trade Didak for Stevens, let alone Didak + a First round pick, which is what they were asking for. Didak is capable of winning a game off his own boot, and did so more than once this year.

We also didn't have a great track record for drafting talented players until last year.

Our front office is being entirely turned over because the one move we made last year was getting a new recruiting officer, purely by luck, as our old one got really sick a couple of months before the draft, and it paid huge dividends. It was the only thing that was done right in the last 12 months, so I would say you'll see a much less conservative approach from Collingwood in the offseason.

Yeah, because you could do so much better than Chris Tarrant

If Fremantle got offered Chris Tarrant for Polak and turned it down, that would be just plain silly. Chris Tarrant is an All Australian when healthy...

It's probably not my place to say this but I want to get my post count into the millions one day so: Fremantle don't really need fowards, especially one with a questionable attitude, considering they've got Pavlich, McPhalin etc.

I can tell you categorically that you could have got Stevens in a straight swap for Didak and Malthouse vetoed it! bad decision Mick.

IMO Polak needs a mentor to enhance his future. Not to be dished up as a trade option. Injury excluded Polak has played his best football when lined up next to McPharlin. When Luke was moved forward Polak seemed lost. I believe the Polak, McPharlin combo accross half back is hard to beat. The question is how long will it take for Polak to mature to the point where he can do it alone. As for Tarrent, I would take him.

Potentially yes. Don't know them well enough. Cupido has some of the same issues as Polak; Talent not being used to its fullest. McVeigh has some pace about him and some defensive ability.

The big question for me with those two (and other established misfits) would be "Do the want to play for the Dockers and realise their potential?" Otherwise draft picks would be better.

Mmmmm interesting Geoff, McPharlin to CHB, Polly to half back line and then maybe a "fattened up" Murphy to Full Forward.
Back to the future. In terms of the backline that is. Murphy is the KPP wild card. Where does he fit in jigsaw puzzle? McPharlin's dodgy kicking style makes him a suspect FF for me, though he has worked reasonably well this year. If Murphy can actually step up as the FF I would have more faith in his kicking style than McP's (or Polak's in the forward line).

You know Medhurst kicks as many goals as Chris Tarrant, and as far as I'm aware sets up more goals. So if Chris Tarrant wants to come to Freo and get his arse publicly kicked by a load of ingrates we'd welcome him.

In 2003, Medhurst kicked more goals than Chris Tarrant and yet Tarrant was feted as some superstar and people over here were questioning Medhurst's attitude and ability. I could never figure it out. But the difference in how they are viewed still exists, and is why people will laugh at this post -- while Vic clubs are absolutely falling over themselves to see if they can get a piece of Medhurst.

As for Polak, what we'd want from Collingwood would be their second pick (is it 6?) in a draft considered very thin.

you guys dont get out much do you!? if you want to get sumwhere and win a premiership your going to have to trade one of your talls, and i think polak is closest to being traded! There is no point in keeping a player that misbehaves time after time! We had brayden shaw on our list and he didnt even manage a senior game and is now delisted. He did not take his footy seriously and paid the consequences! a change of scenery will do em both good! You need to trade because quite frankly your list isnt good enuf to get anywhere near g.final!

not a bad point but no one is doubting that collingwoods form has been hot and cold in the past 10 years! if you look at all time records we are up there! records are no more relevant in the past 10 years than the ones set 100 years ago! coz everything works in cycles and collingwood was having a rough time! a sign of a great club is an overall view that shows a small number of bad patches and massive number of premierships! essendon have been the team of the decade! barring brisbane and its salray cap issues!
