On the flip side round 11 is just as weird, being almost like a mini Gather Round in Melbourne with just 2 games not in Victoria and a weird double header at Marvel on the Saturday.

Marvel Stadium is hosting a Matilda’s game on Friday 30th May.

Instead of trying to convert the ground back to AFL the same weekend; it’s easier to play games away from Melbourne.

My assumption would be that the MCC wanted the Sat/Sun free to try and book a major Euro Football team on the same weekend; to take advantage of the travelling soccer fans

Yes we have , it's called round 0 and the AFL seem to think this is a feature not a bug.
