Those ones also didn’t have the black outline around the McDonalds logo. I think I prefer the 97/98 ones. Both cool though
If it’s the one I think it is, it just sold on eBay for $300+ new in box. Solid investment, really.
As per my story from the podcast, this is the footy I had the chance to buy brand new still in box for $50. Still kicking myself.
EDIT: Actually, not sure if it was this one or the 97/98 one now. Either way, still spewing.
That box doesn’t match the ball. Its got the new AFL logo on it for starters. The one I saw was in a box that was clearly 90s-era in its design, as well as having some wear and tear befitting a near 20-year old item.If it’s the one I think it is, it just sold on eBay for $300+ new in box. Solid investment, really.
You’ve done well I think. Price is about right just for the ball itself, just a shame the seller was using a mismatching box to try and extract a few extra dollars out of someone who wouldn’t know any better. The one I got was the $300 one from eBay. I knew full well that the box didn’t match the time period. Didn’t bother me, don’t care for the box at all. The genuine boxes from that era were red with the McDonald’s logo all over them I think. I was happy with the price, considering today’s Sherrins go for just under $200 and this ones 20 years old but presents brand new.

Was going to say the same thing, remember someone posting that years ago. Doubt anything would top that, privately not sure? Cousins GF guernsey in 2006 also sold for a lot to a private collector? Don't remember the exact amount.Nicky Winmars Guernsey was bought by the National sports museum for $100,000 that’s the most expensive I’ve ever seen.
Think Cousins gf Guernsey sold for around 30k iircWas going to say the same thing, remember someone posting that years ago. Doubt anything would top that, privately not sure? Cousins GF guernsey in 2006 also sold for a lot to a private collector? Don't remember the exact amount.
