I've got a couple of Brisbane guernseys I bought from one of their auctions a few years ago. They sold them without certificates and said they are player issue and potentially match worn but would not confirm.

One is a
2009 Brisbane Lions Home Guernsey - Signed by J.HAWKSLEY #12, shows some signs of being worn

The second is a
2010 Brisbane Lions Away Guernsey - Signed by M.CLARK #1, has gps pocket, also looks like it has been worn.

I'd be happy to swap these for richmond pi's or $90 each plus postage

The Hurn 2017 indigenous looks really good to me and the sold Hurn Away looks alright apart from the GPS pouch, but the rest of them look terrible. There being 2 training tops available is a bit suss too I think.

All by the same seller and they're making a killing from these.

What thoughts may the wiser on here have?

They don’t appear to be fake. They seem to be prototypes. Hurn wore a 2XL in puma, so the fact they’re all mediums make me think they’re puma samples or prototypes. The GpS pouch did change a fair bit from 2015-2017 with 3 different ones used, some changed mid season. The training jumper would have been a sample before sgio decided to scrap the idea of changing their logo to sgi.

Any particular reason why the AFL logos look different?

Yeah you can on all of them, just depends what angle you look at it. Here’s a close up of mine


In some lighting it’s really obvious, not so much in others.

Semi Legit. It’s a legit cousins 06 player issue, and a legit 06 Grand Final patch from the framed memorabilia piece, I just took it off and heat pressed it onto my cous jumper. So both pieces are legit, they just didn’t start out life being together.

Yeah it’s slightly more raised than it should be. It was a bit of a distaster while trying to get the patch off the retail guernsey from the framed piece. In the end I had to cut it off. So it’s actually got a layer of guernsey underneath the patch. I then applied some heat press stuff to it, and pressed it onto my cuz. Looks fine up close, but it’s a little thicker than it normally would be.

Brand new they do. I got one second hand for under a grand cause the signatures were faded and the woman was selling all her ex husbands s**t. I had it hung on the wall for about 4 years. We renovated and I pulled it down. It was going to go in the shed for a while and I thought * it, I only bought it for the patch anyway so why not put it on a legitimate player issue and display it that way
