I'm 22 and what I achieved at 21 was:
Lost my virginity
Never thrown a punch at anyone in my entire life
Completed years 10,11 and 12 at school
Got my car license
Made new friends as life went by
Have worked in several different indudtries and hope to work in more as life goes by
Travelled to Melbourne and New Zealand
Drank 30 beers plus a few vodkas and bourbons on Christmas Day
Went out on a 14-hour drinking binge from 1:30pm-3:30am when I was 19
HOPE you're still going, how has life turned out

What a great bump and great read.
I'm 60 , there is not enough space. But be sure of one thing, it goes as quick as your parents tell you.
15 to 18 takes forever, 18 to 21 about three weeks, 21 to 30 roughly six weeks, 30 to 40 3 weeks, 40 to 50 goes quicker, 50 to 60 you're closer to the finish line than starting line, it's now you realize you're not bullet proof.
But don't tell me the 70's wasn't the greatest time to be a teenager, if you do 'YOU'RE DREAMING'.
Anyway, would like to see some 2008 posters updates.

wow, thanks Boomerfan99 for bringing this old thread back to my attention.
around about 6 months after I posted this, i was made redundant and seemed to be in the shit career wise again.
11 years later, i've been at the job I got after i was made redundant for all this time. 2 of my kids have now finished school and are at uni with well paid part time jobs, i'm nudging 50 and having the mid-life crisis thoughts.
what i'd give to be 21 again
Good shit.

As you get older you realise how young 21 is. Being around them now and they are like children.

This is basically the same for every age though. I was thinking the other day how weird it was that I was 10 in grade 5, yet at the time I probably felt like I wasn't that young.

To answer the thread question, not a hell of a lot. Finishing high school isn't an achievement but that would probably top my list, even then I underachieved.

By 21;
-Started Uni
-Had $12,000 in the bank
-got my licence
-had a decent job
-Met plenty of decent people
-had a GF for a while
-drank plenty each weekend with mates

Can we shift to 23 ?
Been around the world for a year, opened my own business and bought a house in the inner city.

Well this is a weird thread to read back on.

I had my shit figured out at 21 then circumstances out of my control ruined that. 24 about to turn 25 and my life is a shambles. Scary how quick it goes.

Turned 21 in November 1980, all I can think of that I had achieved by that stage was-

Able to drink copious amounts of alcohol.
Owned a brand new bright yellow Chrysler Sigma, drove it return to Perth from Brisbane solo.
Tried to pick up women but failed the majority of the time.
Was pretty good at space invaders, darts and pool, remember playing them at various pubs around Brisbane.

Your life goes too fu....g fast.

Chris Judd at 21:

Michael Phelps at 21:

Rafael Nadal at 21:
