Growing up the clap was pretty ubiquitous, everywhere you turned, there it was.
My first dose, that I remember, was the Beach Boys, Let's Do It Again. By the 70s, even the proto punks and heavy rockers were getting infected with it. Stooges No Fun and Sabbath's 1970 New York live War Pigs famously deployed a fair bit of clapping.
Seems to me the Clap has been vanquished in recent years. Or has it.
