Has this poster disappeared? New job/house? death maybe>? Didnt sound that old though. Thought the draft would have brought him out. Anyone know....?

Don't worry Jack - he'll be back next week. He's currently in NZ driving me crazy with PM's about who we drafted etc.

you'll need to change your username or ask the mods to add 'the rat' to the end of it.:)

No such luck jackie boy. :D

I've only just got back after a little over 3 weeks in the land of the sheep shaggers.

The locals were giving me shyte wherever I went about the rugby wins - like I really cared!!

You should have heard them even puffing up their chests on TV and radio about their cricket team before the game last Saturday. I enjoyed it even more when they turned on them the next day after their pathetic performance - they were vicious! :)

Lovely place, nice people and had a great time, but just remember this. That next lamb chop you eat from New Zealand just might be pre-loved!! ;)

Welcome back Macca.

What was your highlight of KiwiLand?
Just to answer PAF as well, it certainly wasn't sheep-shagging. We left that well and truly to the locals. ;)

Kane, there was a heap of highlights not just one:

Christchurch - very pretty city & a nice place to have a good look at.

Queenstown - the jetboats flying through the gorges & mud flats at speeds up to 85 kph

Milford Sound - might have been except for the torrential rain & winds up to 100 kph - thousands of waterfalls everywhere as a result though.

Wellington - Te Papa Museum

Rotorua - the Waiotapu thermal park, the Maori Hangi where I was elected Chief of the tribe of many nations, Paradise Valley Springs animal, bird and fish reserve (including lions) - totally enjoyed it.

Coromandel - Kiwi Dundi trek through rain forests, old gold mines etc

Auckland - the harbour cruise, Sky Tower, and Kelly Tarleton's Underwater Word. Went to the trots at Alexandra Park on Friday night.

Bay of Islands - Fuller's 4 hour cruise of the Bay of Islands and a visit to the original capital of NZ (for 9 months in 1840/1841) - a little town on the water called Russell.

NZ is a great place to visit - heaps to do and plenty of friendly rivalry between Aussies and Kiwis - a little like the friendly (???) rivalry between Crows and Port supporters. ;)
