I was so rapt to see Winderlich back last weekend...he's an absolute joy to watch...

Anyway it's all very well to go on about individual players...each who have there own place and reason to be in the seniors, but to me at the end of the day it's a 'team' and the 'team dynamic' to me is of far greater importance...get the right combination of players with or without the 'champions' playing and watch the team fly.

This to me is where the strength of the coach comes in, and I've heard more than one person comment that a coach is 'only as good as his cattle', but I imagine with many more young men wanting to play AFL at a senior level than there are places, that each has something to offer played in the right postion with the right combination of team players.

So while it's great to have Hird and Fletch in the team and when they're firing on all cylinders it's a huge lift, they are not winning matches on their own yk?

Although I thought we took tentative steps forward, we're still behind the leading sides in the middle of the ground. Hille worked tirelessly throughout the game, but cant be expected to do this all the time. A young tap ruckman and some bona fide wingmen will help keep the smart ball carriers like Winders and Stanton & Watson in the corridor at all times.

I guess we're trying this with Dyson, but without the ball, he's virtually useless and Lovett needs to stay uninjured.
