carlton supporters talk about him like he is the 'gun' of the afl. In my opinon he has done absolutely nothing. 2 good games and all of a sudden he is the best young player in the AFL. Pfft...

Since his first year of AFL Andrew has bulked up considerably and shown pre season form that suggests that he is ready to take the next step.

Why is Tom Davidson so good?

Carlton supporters talk up everything about their club (if you hadn't noticed).

They have the best young list, the best talent, the best coach, the best jumper, the best logo, the best club song . . . and for some reason they think beating Collingwood last year was important.

Footy starts soon - that should shut them up.

Give him a break BP, JRs only 17, he's just got home from school and his Mum forgot to make is Nutella sandwhich.

For the record, Walker will be a star for the Blues in years to come. Blues fans just need to be careful not to fall into the trap of some Tiger supporters and talk up kids that haven't done a lot just yet.

Bulking up means Walker will be able to move into the midfield more often this year instead of playing mainly as a HB.

You were having a go at Carlton supporters who are hyping up Walker so I simply aked whats so good about Tom Davidson as a great deal of Collingwood fans wrap him up.

For the record, if Walker played for Collingwood you would definately label him a future gun.

Walker is a potential gun. No he hasn't really achieved much yet (the exception being one man of the match performance) but he is highly likely to break into the elite bracket of AFL player within the next few years.

I'm not one of those Carlton supporter which expect an 18 year old like Walker to be our best player this year, and a dominant presence within the AFL. But it seems pretty certain that he'll get their one day.

I think Carlton supporter are so excited about Walker because we haven't really had a top midfield youngster, who seemed certain to make it from the start, since 1995 when a young kid called Scott Camporeale broke into a champion side.

and tell me what team doesn't talk up their club , their coach, their young talent, their logo, club song etc ..are you suggesting the Saints fans don't do this these days ? the reason i added these days is that for the last hundred years the saints have had very little to be enthusiastic about ..they accepted mediocrity as if it was their place in life . and now that they have been rewarded for all those years of failure their supporters have come out of the woodwork ..and good on them for sticking with a struggling club for so long .
and yes we do think beating Collingwood is a big deal ..because they along with essendon and richmond are our traditional rivals ..so when we manage to beat these sides it gives us a lot of satisfaction , and if you ask their supporters i'm certain they would admit to feeling the same when they beat us .
as for quietening down during the season ..you really need a reality check we will never be silenced ...one good year in football does not make a champion team Jeff . come back when you have consistently been in the top echelon

Walker, youngest player to debut in AFL last year, put in some credible efforts to boot. Extrapolate those performances with physical development and belief in what he can produce and the sky is the limit.
