Thats true, but we were still sucking early 2013 before Tex went down. If he played out the season we would've got to wear the clown suit in an away EF, but even the great man can't solve the problems keeping us from being a serious football side. Only the broom can wake us out of our stupor.

We also were lack lustre early 2012. We didn't put together good results until rnd 6 onwards iirc.

Slow starts to the year, slow starts to games..... this needs to change.

Not a bad article from Tredrea this morning. Doesn't explain the WHY....but food for thought...

Good article, but fails to address some of the other key issues (like favouritism <or the opposite> at selection, and stupid game theories/plans - oh, and the disaster that our Admin is); but at least he's being critical of the pathetic efforts the Club are dishing up.

Then you've got that complete and utter dickhead, Dale Lewis, on Triple M this morning, stating that any Crows fan worth his salt would be furious at Tredrea over the article. Lewis, you are a dickhead, and a clueless one, at that.

Oh, and you'd hope to Christ that all of the stuff that Tredrea suggests we should do at training... We'd have to be doing that stuff already, wouldn't we?

Has anyone gone to training lately? What's the intensity and competitiveness like versus the Craig years?

Regarding Crows training - I know people here don't give much credence to Rowey, but I remember him saying on two different occasions that the Crows were very laid back at training. I don't think he was too impressed. He also compared them to the Power (was it before the Showdown, maybe?), saying they were super tuned in, very disciplined. :(

thing is, we have to wait for our forwards to get back too o_O

Yep. It is just so scintillating for me to watch a player (Ravens as well) bounce/carry the ball with breaking speed up and over a couple of lines to the wing area and then have to wait and then play defensively back or short sideways because we have no real options (other than a triple teamed Betts)? There can be nothing more ridiculously frustrating than this, surely?

Fed up with the 'overly defensive mind-set'. Sando says its not our style in that an open running, shoot out game doesn't suit us. Fine, but is this where we are doomed to stay? Is the club looking to recruit even just one line breaking runner for the future? Or any sort of pacey ball carrier? Or are we where we are and destined to remain AFATECS?

I have many frustrating things to lash out on about this team since the start of last season.

Dangerfield is one of my few positives.

We were superfit and super disciplined. Sando made it fun and bulked them up a bit, we thrived.
yep the fitness carryover from craig and the strength based preseason from sando gave the balance for 2012 that we have been searching for ever since

Hartigan and crouch are the only drafted players since 2012 (outside of pods and betts) to play senior footy which doesnt help too much. Compare that to 2011's incomings of brown, lynch, jj, crouch, kerridge, grigg and laird who all get regular games

Tippett and Vince gone, injuries to key players in walker, vb, otten etc, the much discussed off field problems... not much has gone right for us since 2012

Thats such a shit comment. Not at you, but at our Club if that is even half true. Given the way the Power gang banged us in the Showdown I would give your statement a lot of credence because it sure felt that way as a spectator.

The Advertiser did a 360degree picture of the ground where you could see yourself, it took a photo of me being and looking really fcked off. lol. Aside from the 3rd qtr we lacked any desire or motivation to hit everything at the Power.

Tex coming back will help, but he wouldnt have made the difference for us losing the first three games.

I just hope we get to a stage of the season where the full complement of the squad can be selected (I guess minus two with VB and Hendo.).
