What have you put watching footy before?

After reading the Bradshaw topic I thought it might be interesting to find out if you have put footy before something that most people wouldn't.
My daughter got married this year.
When she told me she wanted to get married in Jan or Feb when it was summer, I told her she would have to have it in April when the footy was on because if I go to Melb I have to be able to go & watch the Bombers play at least once.
Thankfully she waited until April so I got to see the Anzac day game as well as the Doggies at Colonial.
Most people think I'm terrible for making my daughter have her wedding so I could watch the footy.
Has anyone else done anything similar, put footy before family, work etc.

Finally having a winter holiday - in October!!!

Was meant to go skiing last weekend with a whole bunch of mates - nuh sorry the Kangas are playing (you reckon I was glad I hung around to witness a 125 point belting - sheesh!!!)

I've put footy before study WAY too many times! Maybe missing the finals for the next few years will be a blessing -I might FINALLY finish....

with the late night replay on over here I've put footy before sleep especially if there are 2 games on late on a saturday night
