Cats Fans, What Hurt More?
The 9 Point Loss To Brisbane In Last Year's Prelim Final or The 3 Point Loss To Sydney In The Semi This Year. Personally I Felt That We Could Have Gone All The Way Had We Won Either Of These G.F's But The Brisbane One Hurt More Because We Were So Close To Another Crack With A Side I Believe Can Crack That 42 Year Drought.

This year was worse, simply we should have won, and look what happened to our oppenents afterwards! Last year was frustrating, but you couldn't honestly say we were better than the Lions, and beating Power would have been extremely difficult.

Sydney was worse from a personal perspective.

Not only did they displace us to go on to take the Premiership, but we had exhauseted every possible option to beat them on their home turf and dominated on the scoreboard for a majority of the evening. We had experienced the heartbreak of the year before to compound the whole situation.

At least with Brisbane we didn’t really look like winning the game – we weren’t comfortably winning at any stage or dominating for large periods. We had also performed to quite a substandard level to make the Preliminary Final in being smashed at AAMI Stadium and then nearly being run over by the perennial “thereabouts mob,” the Bombers. Brisbane were still immersed in their dynasty and for a pretty much finals virgin like myself it never really sunk in.

Brisbane made me frustaited, we wasted chances but we were also in our first finals.Sydney really hurt because we really did very little wrong, we run out of players and legs

Was at both matches. I have never seen the players so down cast at they were in Sydney after the loss. And with the result of the Grand Final only shows we could have been there and we must learn from this loss.

My thoughts exactly.

I was at both games and the pain at the SCG was far worse than the Brisbane game last year. Against Brisbane, i was disapointed, yet i was proud of the boys for pushing the giants of the game to the edge, this year, we should have won, better team for 95% of the night and even Sydney people believe we were robbed.
