I've been trying to post on Sunday's game all week, but it just hasn't made much sense.... We have major problems with intensity, enthusiasm and energy.... and will struggle to field a team for a few more weeks.....
Anyway, something I want to see is the team forgetting about the slick fancy-arsed footy they try to play, and getting back to basic skills. Sure, it looks great when it comes off, but this season - IT AIN'T COMING OFF!
Concentrate on actually taking the mark, rather than what you'll do with it once you've got it! (Although thinking about that could help too....
)
Talk to your teamates! (Especially when an opponant is bearing down on them)
Think before you pass the ball. Swearing and cursing after the turnover is nice in sentiment, but doesn't really help.
Go in tough, but not stupidly so. (take note T. Carroll)
MAN UP!!! All the time, not just when you want to....
Chase, even if you probably won't catch them. We've proven that mistakes DO happen.... even when they shouldn't
Stay disciplined, it's hard enough fielding a team without copping suspensions as well (Jako you're lucky, don't ever lost it an an umpire again) (And Cuz, please keep clear of the men in white )
Keep an EPIRB beacon in your sock in case you get injured, you'll need to alert the trainers yourself (SO not impressed by that incident... completely unprofessional, not us at all)
And Kenny dearest... please don't be afraid to make changes You ARE the coach (for now ), so it's kinda your job....
