I'd be more pissed off than happy as it would be a straight sign of how much we've pissed away this year.

Beat all top 4 sides and lose to bottom dwellers.
Its what Fitzroy used to do, beat/match the top sides, loose/get pumped by the Bottom sides. very frustrating.

Thats what pi55e5 me off as Im sure it does most of us, We have the potential to beat any team. We have the potential to be the best team in the Competition but we jst dont use it, dont live up to it. Watched the Bulldogs and Melbourne, close game, both teams played with all heart. Now this morning Bulldogs getting all the plaudits, as Is Brisbane. Can't wait for the day, North Melbourne are feared again, and talked up in the same vain as Freo, Sydney, Hawthorn, Collingwood. We have it, but just dont use it.

We certainly have no chance if Lachie is absent again. Do not underestimate how much his late withdrawal last night unsettled us. Not only did we miss his reading of the play and intercept marking big time but also his absence meant that Scotty Thompson had to play a far less attacking role and Spud was forced to play a different role to what he has played so far this year.

They say that lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice but eerily, Lachie was knocked out early in last years corresponding game and we also lost that game in similar circumstances.

But, one shouldn't make excuses should one? Much better to bag the s*** out of them.

Repeat after me. If we beat Hawthorn, we will all be ecstatic and be straight back on the bandwagon. Except, maybe, for the more miserable among us. We will hope against hope that we have indeed turned the corner and are about to emulate Geelong after R5, 2007. That's the fact of the matter. It is what it is. Except, of course, for the more miserable among us. Of course, right now the chances of beating Hawthorn sit at about 10%.

Well for what it is worth I'm tipping the Hawks in the footy tipping. I thought I made a decision with the head rather than the heart against Brisbane. No more of that for me.
