What Is Really Going On????

My brother is good mates with Juddy (goes way back to junior footy) and he spoke to him a couple of weeks ago. To quote the Juddmeister "I'll be 100% ready to go by Round 1 of the H&A season and I'm feeling great"

So unless something happened in the last fortnight then all these tossers from the Bombers, Filth, Ninthmond can chew on that. Can't wait to see him rip into them!!!!

The thing people are forgetting is that Judd was (apparently) going well ahead of schedule. So even if he has had a bit of soreness etc, it's likely that he's only being brought back to where he should be anyway.

I had release surgery on both groins about 4 years ago, and it does take longer than expected to get back to 100%. The immediate reduction of pain is so great that it is easy to think you are further advanced than you really are, and therefore push too hard, too early.

My suregeon, Simon Bell (does many AFL players) told me after the op that my groin was top 5 worst he had ever seen, so I know what Juddy is going through. If I can recover to 100%, then I expect an elite athlete will have no troubles!

SirJimi05, please read the following (source: www.CarltonFC.com.au and not some tarot card reading hippie who is your best mate):

A real positive from the final training session last Friday was Chris Judd participating in the full session, the first time he has completed a full training session since having a groin operation last year. This training session is part of the planned program that is expected to see Judd make his Carlton debut in the third week of the NAB Cup series.:D:thumbsu::cool::rolleyes::p:)

I tried to change the font to 46 so you could see it clearly, but I couldn't!

is that from someone inside the club? :D

CJ does have soreness and it has bothered him as he was expecting to be over it at this stage, however it is not a setback at all and the club doctors have expected (and planned to manage) him to have some soreness at this point in his rehab.

He will continue to participate in Full Training from this point on and will pull back if necessary - however the soreness should reduce with every session.

He should definately be OK for round 1 however if it is not 100% right we will not play him. This would not be the end of the world we are just making sure that when he plays he is able to have the impact that we all expect.

seriously what is going on with Chris Judd can i get a straight forward answer because in hearing Twiggly saying that his groin is 95% repaired and that he is ahead of schedual then i get this he wont be back until round 12, then i read that he is expected to be back round 3 of nab cup.

Just to clear things up, im sure theres more heads spinning

we won't know for sure till he actually plays. the media are never 100% accurate about such things.

Have been informed from someone that would very much be in the know that Judd will be fine. Basically, what BT just said. If he's not 100% by round 1, then he will be pretty close. He's still on track to play his 1st game in the 3rd round of NAB Cup/Practice matches.

when i had adductor release surgery, i couldnt run like judd when i came back, couldnt kick like him either, but it did give me about an extra 3 inches , & my surgeon (a fine lady) said mine was in the top 5 best she'd ever seen...........

ctacp
curlier than a catoggio pube

Id be worried about Chris Judd playing too if I were a bomber, pie, tiger supporter......
basically its the difference between an 80 and a 100 point thrashing......
can really understand their concern.:thumbsu:

The problem I have, Sir Jimi, is that 4 months ago, several posters had spoken to someone who said Judd is going to Collingwood/Melbourne/Essendon, even bloody Richmond & their source knew because they held important positions at the various clubs. Then a couple of days ago, an Essendon supporting colleague of yours, Fogdog, posted an article from Bomberblitz stating that Judd's surgery had been stuffed up. This allegedly came from a 'surgeon' who was privy to details of Judd's injury. Just prior to that BeeDee told us that Judd had injured his other groin.

All of the above information allegedly came from impeccable sources. My point though, is that the club would not have him suddenly do a full training session after weeks of holding him back, if his groin was still causing significant concerns. Think about it for a minute. Does it sound logical to you?
great post!
