Hello folks of FDGD,

Welcome to the ultimate 'Greatest Jumper Ever' competition!
You are the voter and the choice is entirely in your hands!

We had over 80 jumpers submitted for this contest, many of which are variations of the same jumper so to bring the field in we are running a double up knock out before the main competition begins!
More rules on the main competition once we get there!

But the rules for this round:
- You can only vote for 12 jumpers of the 24 (one for each match up, votes for both jumpers will not be included)
- You are voting anonymously
- You have 4 days to vote
- You are voting for who to keep in the game

I like the jersey but i'm never a fan of faux-laces, in fashion or footy :p

that’s not faux-laces, it’s the actual laceup.

anyone else getting mixed up?

feel like that all the jumpers in this comp should be actual images of the guernseys. Obvs confusion over the laces and you miss some of the iconic sponsors on a lot of the jumpers too with the footyjumpers graphics.

yeah, when I nominated it, I did have the Standard Chartered sponsorship in mind but it is hard I guess to source decent images of every single jumper.

Having in play photos of every nominated jumper when we have the footyjumpers.com resource was a lot of extra work I am not keen on

Also a little common sense needed, the year if the jumper is clearly listed and Port have never worn a PB with fake stitching to my knowledge

how the f**k is the laceup prison bars losing?
I was tempted to vote for the 03 bars as it’s a representation of the 1914 prison bars where we went undefeated and win the Championship of Australia. We tried to wear it in 2014 against Carlton to celebrate 100 years of the occasion however we were knocked back as it “wasn’t important enough” according to the AFL. As such we had to wear the one with the white collar, cuffs and panel as we got to wear it to alleviate the jumper clash in the 2014 finals. We wore the 1914 bars in the SANFL that year as a one off which is actually the variant of the bars that I own. I might be in the minority’s but I really like the blacked out prison bars. Looks very sleek though not as intimidating as the white trimming alternative.

Gotta say that neither of these PBs choices would be in my top 2. I'd have the 2014 EF guernsey vs the early 90s era Standard Chartered lace up as the definitive versions in both the lace up and modern cuts.

Neither were nominated, which I think is unfortunate

You're probably thinking just AFL, but the Maggies did in 2011 (at least):

I've got a retail version (Jax) of this minus sponsors & SANFL logo, but with the Maggies logo. A bit tight on me nowadays, so my son wears it to the footy occasionally.
