It is, but the bits about fiddling the wee ones was deemed 'too TV unfriendly' and so only the bits with the gambler, the drunk, and the gobshite were left to show.

Funnily enough Father Ted was a British show. Created by and cast with Irish people but made for Channel 4 and filmed primarily in London.
