my guess will be no 5

it has been out of circulation for a couple of years and it seems we have started a trend with our round 1 picks getting low numbers

walker= 1
russell= 2
murphy= ?????

Delist Morrell now that Whitnall has re-signed and give Murphy number 3.
I hate it how people are saying delist morrell. He has proven himself to be a great player for us on a number of accounts, he took the last mark in defense in all our close games and can also play up forward. We don't have many KPP and people keep saying that yet we have a few, we just can't see it yet. Morrell, Hartlett (next year), Deluca and more youngsters.

DON"T DELIST MORRELL!!!!!

Carlton give there first pick the lowest available number, then as each pick is given the next available number, if campo does leave number 16 will be retired for a year then will become available.A premiership players number gets retired for a year before someone else gets it.

What about number 9? Given that is was worn by Kenny Hunter and more recently Adrian Hickmott. It needs to have some "heart" put back into it given what David Clarke did to it.

Morell is a VFL footballer. Now with Whitnall re-signed I can't see him being retained. Rather let guys like Deluca, Hartlett, O Halphin prove themselves and stand up to the types of positions that Digby played.

Carlton seem to like to give away numbers belonging to players that leave fairly quickly. Maybe they will send Lappin a message that we are moving on from old to young by handing over #12 to Murphy. When Allan wanted out and was traded, Nick Stevens moved right on in to #24. Scotland in to Beaumonts #29 right away.

It certainly is time to hand over #5 though.

I agree, number 9 has been worn by some fantastic blues clubmen and clarke ruined it.

Plus the fact my Jumper has #9 on the back of it and hasnt seen the light of day since Clarke pulled it on it would be a huge bonus for me to have the #1 pick get that jumper.

I'd go from a leper to a legend.

Morrell is ok at times, that's all I can say about him. He has NOT proven himself a GREAT player - what the???

With Whitnall re-signing for 2 years Morrell should be delisted and let Hartlett, Raso, Setanta, Deluca and Bryan play in his place.
