What really f*cks me off

is people who dont even barrack for Carlton thinking they have some right to gloat over our loss. Im filthy as evryone else about the loss, and was I one of the people who put their balls on the line before the game thinking the victory was assured, so im prepared to cop it from Carlton fans (despite the fact virtually none of them were prepared to back their team before the game), but i wont cop it from dim-witted skanks like Vanders and the unnummerable moronic collingwood supporters who litter this site with their useless infantile wafflings, who follow a team which had nothing to do with it whatsoever.

well done Carlton, but to fans of the other 14 clubs who have nothing to gloat about regarding this loss....why dont you all go forth and multiply.

I wish I could say the same. It says a lot for the state of this site, doesn't it?

The Carlton contingent on this board is being very, very good about this. We could all learn from how they've handled it.

Carlton fans are being good about it because we have been there. When you support a consistently good side, you feel that victory is assured. We have all come unstuck in the past and made to realise that anything can happen.

I may be a passionate Blues supporter but I'm not stupid. I can recognise the ingredients for a loss. I can read recent history. I can follow the previous weeks form. I can remember how the Blues have fallen apart against the Dons when the pressure was applied in recent meetings. I can come out and say that we have a good chance in every game we play because I have faith. I tuned in to the game and prayed for a win. My common sense football knowledge side of my brain told me that I might be feeling that all too familiar feeling when the final siren went. I recognise that Carlton are going through another phase in their development since Parko left. It's inevitable. I know what our players are capable of but I also know that the Bombers have the game to beat us consistently. I was not about to come out and make a bold statement that I thought was untrue. It's okay for the Bombers, they held all the cards pre-match. I'm happy to say my fears were wrong but I don't apologise for not being over the top pre-game.

I agree arch. The Blues fans have been pretty good about it in here. Of course there's the usual un registered morons in the main room posting shit and starting arguments. As well as that bomber05, obviously not a Dons fan, blamming the umpires etc.

It pisses me off too Arch. I've copped as bad as anyone and deservadly so, but when these opposition fans from other clubs think they have a right to criticize it becomes a pain in the neck.

It becomes even worse when I - and other Bombers - mention that we were no where near our best (as I'm sure every Bombers fans would agree) yet by making this observation we are "seen" as to not be complimentary to the Blues.

well we didnt play our best at all, but credit for that has to go Carlton to be honest, they didnt allow us to play our best footy- but I still do think we could have played better than we did, we were let down by giving away too many frees unneccesarily and certain players really need to show the form they are capable of rather than dissappointing us week in week out. These players are a minority but theres a couple on the side that need to prove themselves worthy of being there with some good form.
