What will happen is that Geelong will offer pick 9. Crows will continue to make outlandish demands like 2 first rounders and Cockatoo. Geelong will continue to offer just pick 9. Will be a standoff until the last day, Geelong will then throw in a second rounder or fringe player to slightly sweeten the deal and Adelaide will accept. Advertiser and 5AA will then state that the Crows drove a hard bargain because the rules were stacked against them even though for the preceding month declaring that Adelaide held all the cards and would only accept the 2 first rounder and Cockatoo and the first dibs on Ablett/Scarlett/Enright's first born male.

He's another option how about Geelong try and actually embrace the intended purpose of RFA and actually offer Dangerfield a godfather deal which would end all of this nonsense.

All this excerise will prove is the futility of trying to circumvent the RFA system by attempting to offer unders to high profiled restricted free agents.

Bickley's claim that Hawthorn gave up 2 first rounders for Burgoyne is nonsense, they only gave up Pick 9 and Mark Williams, who was cooked.

You did get a first round pick for Williams which you on-traded to Port so technically you did have 2 first round picks that you traded.
