What single moment sums up 2018 for you?

That is crazy. As soon as Ablett didn't block the first guy it had to go to him. Just had to.
Wtf was Danger thinking?????
Oh instead of passing to the guy who's running for me, is a better kick than me and can set up something in the middle of the ground, Im gonna just bomb it left foot down the line. Oh wait theres no-one there.
That is just so f**ked up!
Kudos to Guthrie there though. Good effort.

Well firstly Ablett not applying the block to give Danger more time (he could have blocked and then possibly received the handball when Danger was clear)

and then Danger having no agility to cut back inside, (forcing him to kick on his left or hug the boundary) he then runs basically in a straight line with no peripheral vision, he holds onto the ball for too long (i assume there is no option for his kick along the boundary), then he looks inside but its too late

To sum it up

our players are soft, avoid contact when necessary and dont do the team thing
our players are limited with their skill set (they can do 1 or 2 things really well but arent well balanced players)
poor structures make it hard for players to make quick decisions

The last quarter vs the Hawks in Round 21. Two shots at goal to bring the margin to one point. And we miss. And then the Hawks go down the ground and kick one.

Acutally, the last quarter in every game we lost pretty much sums up the year. So close, yet so far. Too little, too late. Round 21 was just the first one that sprung to mind

Ablett did the right thing there. Probably could of put a touch on him but he was expecting the ball.
That's training drill stuff since u13's.
Coach kicks someone the ball, 4 people run together, handball, handball, handball, kick.
Never get ball run straight ahead smash ball on left down the boundary without looking.

Rising star defender Jack Henry pushed forward and Kolodjashnij after looking great for the first part of the year pushed up onto a wing yet again. Backline went from looking dynamic to slow and cumbersome again, and a genuine winger in Cunico stuck in the VFL with a defender taking his spot up the ground. Less said about the forward line the better.

Beating Collingwood convincingly one week then the complete ineptitude displayed against Essendon the following week.

Probably not a single moment but the perfect illustration of what was/is wrong with the current team.

And another...

Losing to the Bulldogs, conceding 100pts to a team who were offensively impotent, then the domination against Sydney the following week, where the margin should have been 50+.

Or...

The 8-goal last quarter of attacking football that won us the game against Melbourne, where they were powerless to stop us, compared with the first three quarters of slow, stagnant play of a team refusing/frightened/not confident to take the game on.

I should stop before the frustration of reliving this becomes too much.

The last game against The Suns. Playing against witches hats and we won by over 100 point but still could not hit targets numerous times without any pressure what so ever. A very unskilled season.
