If it's following the dark underworld life of a bounty hunter, it can be general adult themes, violence, a bit of nudity, drug use.

Violence, drug use, adult themes can all work within PG13 comfortably imo.

Depends on how far you push it. Personally I'm talking about having a dark and gritty movie, and while that probably could be done within a PG13 rating, I'd prefer that it's not restricted by having to fit into that framework.

Killjoys on Netflix has all this

A jedi academy series. It doesnt have to be THE jedi academy series but would love to see jedi in training and the interactions and some tempted by the dark side. They could be like padawan and go off on adventures with their masters so we get some exploration; or have them dealing with non-jedi. Weve never seen jedi training in the movies that wasnt basically a montage or surprisingly quick.

I agree, maybe I'm a little different with Star Wars but, maybe different standards. I'm usually the most 'MA/R for the sake it!' person you can find, but with a SW I'd want it to be genuinely necessary to enhance the movie.

Jabba

Spice farming, slavery and Twi'lek dancers with Empire Intelligence trying to very hard to firstly stomach air on Hutta, growing shitty by the end of the trilogy and the Empire eradicating the cartel whilst Jabba flees to Tatooine to become the Hutt like no Hutt that had been hutted before.

You have sex scenes when you see an egg as Jabba swoons his way through the cartel prior to the purge, and the camera follows the slime trail and cigar smoke, the Gamorrean mob muscle, for the spice& credit laundering, tie in with Lando in one of many casinos being horrible at card games leading to "oh Lando" since we know he loses the Falcon to Han and get gore and violence with both hunting, trapping and using the Rancor, with the grit coming from the open monologue of Empire Intelligence like those 1970's movies.

Don't like it? Simply change it from the Godfather to Police Academy or Casino Royale.

I actually think SW are more rabid than either of those based on the current status of the franchises.
Only because its attracted so many alt right freaks who play Fortnite in their basement while wearing leather jackets and fedoras.

How eloquent. Really doubled down on that rant.

Why does your profile picture feature a Hawthorn jumper, did you lose a bet?

It's actually from a superior sport. The bloke in it is about to win the Champions League.

I expect that they'll try to emulate the MCU somewhat. They'll pick a setting probably a long way away from the OT in time put together a series of movies about different characters before bringing them all together.

I wish there were no more Star Wars spinoffs, prequels and sequels.

I love the original Star Wars trilogy, but of the new films I only really liked Rogue One, while I would say The Force Awakens is a draw. It had its problems, but was far from dull and did set up some interesting premises. Each time I tried to watch any of the prequels I slipped quietly into the world of nod, but The Last Jedi was an abomination, and a sign that maybe Star Wars needs to rest, permanently. Sure, there are far worse films than The Last Jedi, but this film took every interesting and engaging situation set up in The Force Awakens and destroyed them. Coupled with ridiculous plotlines, poor use of characters, misguided humor that fell flat every time and storylines that went nowhere, the Last Jedi was an insult.
