What Supporter Are You?

I will be loud when I want to, swear when I want to, (unless I'm wiht my dad...['G]) and openly bag opposition players loud enough for those around me to hear. I love roaring with the crowd
My mother asked to go with me to Carlton vs. Collingwood in three weeks... I had to think of every excuse possible for her not to come, as those games are the ones where I am at my rudest:).

Bagging our own at the game is a disgrace.

Passionate yes? But no need to call them names or tell them to get off the ground it's bloody awful - and embarressing.

I make no apologises for booing the players off the ground if they lose by more then 20 goals (as they did a few years ago against the Roos)

Sometimes I think the only way the players will get the message if they see how extremely pissed off we get when they put in inept performances ..

Frankly we us the members pay them watching represent the club, and when they put in pathetic, incompetent, and embarrassing performances, I find it hard not to make a few choices words ..

Can't agree with this. You seem to be saying the lower they feel the harder you go at them. Blokes who wear the navy jumper mean too much to me for me to abuse them. They become friends that I never meet. Let them get off the ground and be miserable in private.

On saying that I have to admit I hate seeing smiles and laughter after a loss. That is unforgivable. Even if you are not unhappy about losing, I think you should look like you are.

You carnt be serious,. LEAVE HOOPS ALONE

I really wonder about some of our supporters, if they really know anything about footy or not.

The only reason we lost is we ran out of legs, end of story, and that is not hoop's fault. It was on the card we would lose this game, so undermand, and not match fit, and that is the only reason we lost.

I carnt believe what I read some times:rolleyes: Go HOOPS, I love ya :p:p:p

I know more about football than you, Iv'e played for 20+ years, how long have you play football for and at what standard?

Houlihan is a squib and when the game is in the balance he's more often than not gone missing, which for a suppossed veteran member of the team is not good enough.

He should be a leader at the club and he's not even worthy of that.

Holy hell Thylacine I agree completely with you.

It's like some people think the players are having fun losing out there, the opposition are bagging them so our own side might as well dig the boots in

They're wearing navy blue on the ground and that's where the term 'supporters' come in. That's us.

So what if she's a girl or not, what rubbish.

It's like this.

I aint ever had a period, so I'm not going to tell a woman about period pains because iv'e never been through them.

And unless a woman has played for a long time at a decent level of football I don't care what their opinion is because they have never gone through what a footballer has.

:thumbsu:

So I can't criticize the government because I haven't been a politician?

You can criticize them, though you haven't walked a mile in their shoes so you don't know anything about their job.

Surely you've had worthwhile conversations with women about the game? I certainly have. Some of them have a scary insight to the game that quite frankly intimidates the crap out of me. No, not you AWG.

Can't say I have.

As soon as I hear the words "*insert name* is my second team" I just tune out.

And as soon as I hear someone say Houlihan is great I tune out too as that tells me they don't know what they are looking at while watching a game.

Sure why not. :thumbsu:

Multiple best and fairest winner as a junior.

Good enough to play in a very good school team that contained Brad Johnson and Peter Riccardi.

Made a few junior rep sides in the Geelong district.

First played a senior game as a 17 year old and went on to play in the GFL.

Got bored with AFL and went onto play Gaelic Football won a few B&F and represented Victoria in the Australasian Championships a couple of times.

But that has nothing to do with egotism, it's to do with experience.

It's why they don't hire olympic class table tennis players to coach AFL, or are you to ****ing stupid to realise that?

Fan and player are a totally different thing slow poke.

Or is your pea brain incapable of working that out?

Shane Warne chose to play cricket over football, wow I guess that doesn't make him a football fan.

Adam Gilchrist, nope he's no Carlton fan because he played cricket too.

Good logic peanut :thumbsu:

Passionate, realistic, knows when we are shit or good and doesn't lolly it up making excuses after excuses how good we are or bad just to make themselves likable to other supporters.

Think you'd be capable even if you wanted to?

No. It's egotism.
If you believe that you have more right to talk about footy because you can name-drop playing alongside Riccardi and Johnson (obviously getting bored with AFL was a good excuse back then :thumbsu:) then pure and simple you have an overinflated ego and wish to belittle other people.
