What the hell has happened to Melbourne ??

This is quite a bizarre turn of events for a team that played in a preliminary final last year.

1-5 from the first six games, an incredibly poor percentage and a team that looks like it doesn't know how to win any more.

There are so many potential reasons and I'm sure many people will have their own theory but ………


No Hogan - no Melbourne ??

Over-achieved last year (both individually & collectively) ??

Goodwin's message & tactics are not getting through ??

Players are not working hard enough ??

Others teams have worked out how to combat their strengths ??


Whatever the reason(s), they need to get their act together very quickly otherwise season 2019 is over for them (if it isn't already).

Question is, can they turn it around from here ??

I think they’re just having a down year. It happens. It doesn’t help when you’re missing Lever, May and Jetta either. Hannan and AVB are both handy players too. With a fit list and a couple of additions in the off-season, they’ll be back up there next season.
