Disgraceful effort. A few things to say.

* For the second week in a row the umpiring was disgraceful and heavily to the other team's advantage and for the second week in a row it didn't matter.

Umpiring wasnt that bad really, what was more frustrating was the melbourne fans getting ********ed off all the time when there were clear free kicks to us.

* What the hell have Melbourne done to Beemer? Good honest player at Geelong and 3 weeks at the demons have turned him into just another cowardly headhunter. I don't care what you say, going in head high in the first minute of the game with the ball metres away is a dirty dog act. Sniper Moloney is dead to me.
Moloney did that every game at Geelong, just the way he plays and now hes at another club it annoys you...

* WTF is up with King?

Not a real fan of Steven King at all, especially as skipper. We have two pea-heart ruckman.

That annoyed me too. I can understand the Demons fans getting upset if we get a few dinky frees in the middle, but what they have to realize is that if it's been going their way for a while the umps are always going to balance it out.

Well, he does have a problem with ex teammates. But I reckon he attacked the ball a bit more and the man a bit less when he was a Cat.

From what ive been told King is a great leader behind closed doors. He was absolutely livid at the comments Wallace made about Ottens and got all the boys fired up for the game....

however, where was this last night? He barley managed a whimper. Only time he looked intense was in the last 10min when he jumped into White and from then on. Where was that passion & agression for the other 110 minutes?

Having said that, who would you give captain to after last nights performace? Not many players put their hands up and lead by example...

This doesnt just come about from last night, i've never rated King much as a skipper, remember he was enstated when Graham was axed and we didnt really have much going for us.

Ling is a natural leader on field and id make him skipper in an instant.

Hi
really stupid question i know but which players are dasher and monty!
i dont know their nicknames
also, I thought Bartel and Maloney were friends off-field and that it was an accident? Surely he cant be mad at the gfc players, he grew up with them and it wasnt their choice for him to leave

I'm talking about Moloney's dog act in wiping out Bartel, which you have strangely ignored.
Hardly a dog act.Infact he half pulled out of it.Could have been a lot worse for Bartel if Maloney went through with it.
If anything he tried to avoid it as much as possible.

Didn't try hard enough though, did he? Bartel was knocked out from the bump, not hitting his head on the ground.

But to me, going in with a hip and shoulder on someone with their head over the ball is a dog act.

It doesent look like it will be looked at by the umpires, but I think it should.

Maybe im a little sensitive because of the circumstances with him, but to me bartel was over the ball before Moloney comitted himself to the hip and shoulder.

Had he connected even more then what he did, It more then likely would have been a lot more serious for Bartel.

Regardless of who someone plays for, that kind of act is just plain stupid.
