Let me be clear:

I don't necesarily believe there have been problems. But nor do I disbelieve. I am sadly bereft of belief and yes that means I don't have blind faith.

Unless you actually know, (And why would you want to?), you are relying on blind faith.
Mate, don't you have important things to do than to talk about other people's lives. Talk about the game and not personal lives please. It is almost vouyeristic.

A common fallacy often used in debates about religious belief. It suggests that both sides of an argument are equally valid because there is no absolute proof. Unfortunately as mere humans relying on subjective sensory inputs for all of our information we can never have absolute proof of anything. But we can still use the available evidence to assess the probabilities of what has occurred. The evidence on one side of this discussion is very poor - I'll let you decide which one.
there are known knowns, known unkowns, and unknown unknows. the last is all to do with uncertainty.

Moons? He means planets, or stars, not moons o_O

"Tom Bugg's Instagram pic – a light-hearted poke at a friend"
Ho ho ho, yeah we all got a laugh out of JJ's friend's insta pic.
Light hearted not upset by it but.........what would his coach and team mates think if JJ did put in a Norm Smith performance and we beat the Dees? It will backfire one day. Hope our players never get involved in that stuff....that stuff is reserved for BF posters.

Don't class this as media or journalism but Damien, I love Norf, Barrett had a sook on the Footy Show today and made up some crap about some clubs are concerned about the Dogs positive free kick differential.
To their credit the other panelists didnt engage with him and there was no further discussion.
If you are reading this Damo, enjoy the Shinboner rebuild you genius.

'The Package' hype got old in about 30 seconds. But the way he's stuck his neck out to project JJ and his ex-partner seems very genuine and a real reminder that these guys at the end of the day are real people who hurt and feel the sting of rumours just like the rest of us. I hope they both play well this weekend because the Scraggers are a better side with them both playing well and the comp deserves an exciting team like the Dogs playing good football. (I know you're playing us btw I just can't deal with another shocking game riddled with mistakes lol)
I guess the saying goes; 'be careful what you wish for...' :flushed:

Sorry but doesn't that back up a story earlier this year about Sydney calling the AFL about the umpires in the Grand Final?
Nothing he said was wrong or made him look like a "sook".
Can we stop pretending Barrett's bad at his job. When he breaks or provides insight 99.99% of the time he is right.

He was embarrassingly wrong about Sean Dempster literally a month or so ago.

He is definitely not right 99.99% of the time. Not even close.

What? He's definitely wrong more often than not.

See that's the thing, people say what you just said on every story of his but it always turn out to be true. I know, we hate the media because bla bla bla bla but let's take off the blinders in regards Barrett.
Always?!??
No way. Not even close. I have seen some of his 'scoops' and know first hand how wrong he is.

It's funny about the complaining about the umpiring towards us. Yet the AFL introduced several rules this season to directly curb our influence. I've been saying it for a while but it's tall poppy syndrome. Alive and well in Australia
The Cats are using it as deflection from their treatment.

You're right in regards to this call on the umpires.

But so often he is wrong, goes prematurely on scoops, and his opinion is most of the time either generic or stupid or both.

I like how he reports stories after about 10 other journos but he still calls them 'exclusives'.

It's amusing watching players from Melbourne or whoever talking about their prospects this year. Today Gawn said something like "as we saw last year with the Bulldogs, you just have to be in good form in September to go all the way'', like it's so simple.

I don't think we'll see someone do what you guys did last year for a very long time. Not sure teams realise/appreciate how difficult it was.

i dont think it will happen for another 15-20 years.

but the list last season was in its prime - in terms of the veterans playing an elite level, and the young players playing good. We got the most out of the list last year.

we still had 5-6 players out of best 22 in the finals. but it was an even season and we battled injuries all season, which diluted our real finishing position.

This season we haven’t got anywhere near the performances from the veterans, and the young players are all playing a level below last year.
