It's precisely because so many of our players turn it over that we shouldn't be adding another.

The fact is, for every Johnno whose kicking has improved significantly, there are about 15 others who started out poor kicks and stayed poor kicks.

well id say we're both guessing.

neither of us can say for sure.

but imo, rowe has balance and a nice motion,

whereas on the other hand johnson looks like he's having a fit when he kicks.

the diff between the two is that johnno's aren't all that innacurate and have never been, it's just that they're difficult to mark, while rowe's are often innacurate.

but having said that there are many times where rowe will drill someone on the chest lace out, so he's got the ability, it's just that he is quite inconsistent. a common trait in young players.

as i said his action is fine, i reckon with age his kicks should become more precise. u said for all the johnno's and licca's that make it there are 15 that dont improve. but id say just looking at julian now, his balance and motion is probably better than those two were at his age.

but as i said, neither of us should be sure, me that he's a talent and you that's he's not. so that means i guess we'll just have to wait and see, and not bury him just yet.

I believe in karma and i don't like the talk of wishing players to get injured...haha
Let the 'marathon' run it's course.....i'm sure we will have a player, unfortunately, suffer a season ending injury or lengthy spell sidelined to make Harry available for selection !

In all fairness to Windscreens, but this is something we should note. Shane Wakelin, a great player in the last five years, who at Collingwood, just gets better each year, has died at the club because this young man does his job each week.

It will be a loss of a cult hero, but atleast we have depth, and know Harry will be at the club next year.

Rowe doesn't fit into this category.

The view of him when he was in the TAC Cup was that he was a very good kick of both feet and in his first few games, this was reflected. Since then, his skills have wavered.

However, he by no means started out a poor kick.

I'd be cutting JR some slack...he is suffering or has been suffering from OP. Now I've never suffered OP but I have tweaked the odd groin muscle and it would no doubt be a factor in his kicking. Either when OP first appeared he may have slightly altered his kicking style to minimse pain or there may still be pain suffered.

Give the guy some time!

Rowe has a poor action when kicking on the run, it is probably due to his drop of the ball more than anything. He is an awkward lanky fellow and his arms are pretty long. The drop of the ball is probably the easiest thing to fix with kicking actions.

Noone likes Killer? Who cares? He's probably just a shy guy.

I would put Rowey as 3rd-4th in line to get a gig in the seniors at the minute behind

Pendlebury
Wakelin
J Cloke

R Shaw and C Cloke also thereabouts

Ive been pretty happy with his efforts the last few weeks but yes his kicking is still worrying me

If we put him in jumper number 11 and called him Harry O'Bree do you think anyone would notice?

People will notice immediately. The first time he kicks the ball over a jam tin straight to a teammmate they'll know its not the real Shane O'Bree.

Whens Ruz return ? Whens Harry return to rookie list?

Round 7, 8 or 9 aint it?
Ruz can't return any sooner than round 8 (The Age has him coming back then too)
As soon as he does Harry is back on the Rookie list
