It wasn't just a freak year - he'd taken it up a level in 2019 before the gambling suspension. My blind stab in the dark, throw-away theory is that after the gambling incident he listened to those around him saying that Howe let him down and should have covered it up and he felt alienated as a result.Clearly a mindset issue. I wonder if a freak year at the biggest club in the land did irreparable damage. Never too late.
Howe never “let him down”.It wasn't just a freak year - he'd taken it up a level in 2019 before the gambling suspension. I don't disagree, but a lot were saying that at the time.Howe never “let him down”.
In fact Howe saved any career he may have because no doubt he would have continued betting on games and ended up banned for life.
Lucky to still have a career, might be a short one though despite Howe’s help.
AgreeHe was poorly advised then.
Mentally shot. Zero confidenceHe was a jet for us. Looked like he could be anything. Then the gambling thing and it all fell apart. Talent doesn’t just leave you. I don’t understand it at all.
Mentally shot. Zero confidence
Where else would you like me to discuss it?Disgusting bump for someone who feels sorry for him.
What is his contract at North?
