What to do with Tabs

Simple answer regarding what to do with Tabs? If he is good enough he will get played, if he is not good enough he won't get a game.....same goes for Apeness. Tabbener has improved each year he has been on our list and he now needs to take a step up or run the risk of getting the flick.

Great for Freo that he has gone from being our great forward hope to just one of the players in the mix. Good times for Freo.

I forget against who, but an intercept mark and goal at AFL level.

...don't mind the idea of him as a winger to be honest. That's an interesting dynamic. Chuck Stephen Hill on the half back line and you then have a unique balance of outside runners. My thoughts on Taberner are well documented but his biggest issue has always been how incredibly timid he is – the guy is shitscared of a contest and tightens up when he hears footsteps. That is why he will never ever fundamentally be a good forward; the nature of the game is forwards are attacked and under pressure. He could never deal with that.

However he is a pretty tidy kick.

He's fairly useless but as an experiment I don't mind it.

I still think we should get Schulz for a year while Kersten and especially McCarthy develop the ability to cop the number one defender.

If you check Tabs played his junior footy down back. It's the dockers who have played him forward

Seems he was playing as a forward the year before we drafted him. Not doubting that he probably played defender at some point throughout his footballing career, but you can't say we didn't draft him as a forward.
