What to do with this midfield?

Guys I currently have a midfield of Stanton, Ling, Stevens, Mitchell, Cross and Palmer with Priddis and Valenti on the bench...


When Priddis comes back I really don't want to have a player of Rhys Palmer's calibre sitting on the bench...so...

I want Palmer to start and therefore must get rid of one of my 'star' midfielders...assuming Priddis comes back for rd 8 would I be best off getting rid of Stanton for say Steven Browne?

Surely of all my current mids he would be the logical one to let go..

If I traded Stanton down to Brown this would leave me with about 400k in the bank to potentially upgrade 2 midrange players to 2 guns...one in forward line onw in back line...


bear in mind that I only have 11 trades left..AARGGGH

I would suggest you dont trade. You picked Palmer as a cash cow, so why not use him as a cash cow? Trade him out when he peaks in a few rounds. You could do it now, but there is definately more money in him.

He doesn't have to make the upgrades straight away. He could sit on the 10 trades for as long as he needs, and know that he has 400K in the bank which in many sense is like having an extra trade in hand. Stanton and Palmer are averaging around the same I guess it depends on who you feel more safe with.
Brown looks to go up a fair bit in coming weeks. I haven't had a look at other rookies on the radar yet (will do next week) so not sure if there are any likely sorts to come in later on (cotchin for example) so it might be a while before you get a rookie the quality of Brown.

Dude...i could just trade out stanton and sit on the 400k in the kitty for a few weeks..i wouldnt necessarily ahve to make those upgrades straight away!

Your worst performing player isn't necessarily your cheapest.

I'll be suggesting to a mate of mine to do exactly the same thing, but with Daniel Harris.

Ditch the dud and take the cash. Win/win.
