Don't forget his first year was one of the best debut years we have seen, not only at Richmond, but in the AFL in years. Woudl have won the rising star had he not been ineligible, which we all know was a joke.
Had a man's body straight away, which meant he was a star straight away, but was always going to come back down to the rest of the pack fairly quickly.
People like Dermott Brereton have labelled him as a plodder, literally in the way that he runs etc. People have also labelled him in the ilk of Daniel Rich. Well, Rich proved everyone wrong as he had an outstanding 2012.
Much of what Dustin does from here on in is up to Dustin. No amount of mentoring and coaching is going to do any good unless it's him that is prepared to put in the work and decide that he wants to put his stamp on the game. And we all know, that stamp could be very, very big.
I'm not Nostrodamus. I don't know what the future holds for him.
He has few weaknesses. One weakness is kicking to position. By that, I mean the 35 metre passes to team mates. When he is kicking long, like 50 metres plus, he is almost perfect. Other than that, he doesn't have any genuine weaknesses.
All it needs is for him to decide that he's in, and he takes the comp by the throat. It's that simple.
