bulldogs are not my 2nd team and i cant stand this over the top cr@p and media/fan darlings they have become.

i appreciate how good they have been and the injuries they have had but if fans/media could talk about the dogs without their hands down their pants that would be great
Agreed. If anything my second favourite team would be GWS because I don't know any of their supporters.

If I was a bulldogs fan I'd find a lot of it patronizing in a 'the little club that could' kind of way.
Agreed. It was like that at times this year/last as a Melbourne fan after we beat Hawthorn/Geelong. Nice to get some plaudits for a good performance, but it does feel very contrived.

They did big time. There was an incredible amount of love in the air for the Cat's in 2007.
Plus there was the romanticism of both Ablett's playing for Geelong - media had a field day with that. Added to that the arrogance of that Port team - Tredrea/Cornes/Mark Williams - most people savoured that result.

Yeah that one was fun.

Port richly deserved the stone cold ******* beating the Cats dished out that day.

Lots of stories about the Cat's of the late 80's and 90's who couldn't get over the line despite having champions of the game in their team.

I always liked Aker and i hated the way he was kicked out by the Bulldogs.

I hope it takes them 62 more years before they win another flag.
Don't know how you can hold a grudge against Footscray for that. Akermanis was a great player but its unanimous that he was a flog. And once teams were no longer in the vicinity of premiership ambitions they quickly decided he wasn't worth it

Eddie Betts is one of my most disliked players in the comp - it was lovely to see a good accountable opponent in Nick Smith towel him up on the weekend.

The Advertiser hysteria over the likes of Betts, Walker and Jenkins is hilarious.
Why do you hate him though? Because he's good? Seems like a really likeable guy.

Never plays well on the SCG and Smith always gives him trouble.
Still kicked 3 mind you...

Yes, the hysteria over the best small forward in the code is hard to understand isn't it
