We don't have new top end PROVEN talent yet, besides Merrett. We are hoping that players like McGrath, Parish, Francis, Fantasia, Laverde etc. get there. But they have a fair way to go still.
There will be a lot different compared to 2015. The obvious one is the end of the drug saga, which affected the players significantly.
All teams have injuries but ours were fairly significant in 2015 due to the amount to our engine room: Watson only played 12 games, Colyer 11, Hocking 5, Myers 2, Zaharakis 16 (looked to be carrying an injury in a fair few others too). Bellchambers was injured for over half the season too. For some reason we refused to play Giles, so we had no decent backup and were forced to play Daniher, Carlisle and Mckernan in the ruck.
Apart from that, we have young players from 2015 that will keep on improving: Merrett, Daniher, Fantasia, Laverde, Langford, Gleeson etc.
Then there are the new players that weren't on the list in 2015: Parish, Francis, Mcgrath, Tippa, Leuenberger, Hartley, Kelly, Stewart, Brown, Bird, Dea etc. Plenty of those players will be best 22 next season.
So even though we lost some players from 2015, our upside is still significant.
